I’m glad the post was timely, Rajesh. I really like Up In the Air because the theme is handled so well. And like you said, that career isn’t one that I even knew existed, so it definitely piqued my interest.

The uniqueness of the subject has enthralled me.
Plus, the article itself is so interesting. I’m pretty sure now, to use a profession as a side idea or the central idea in one of my stories or at least use such a character to develop my WIP.
In one of my stories, I used a character near to this – a fruit vendor who sold fruits by the side of a road near a busy railway station. Looking at the tale from her perspective sometimes eased my imagination to take the story forward.

I’ll definitely spend more time on the occupations in my novels. Since I write mostly MG, my characters don’t always have an occupation…but some do find creative ways to make money. And I bet a lot of this will be helpful for the jobs parents in my books have!
