Me too. Best of all is when all the clues were right there all along, but the author used my own bias against me so I saw X when actually Y was going on, and at the end, everything lines up to show me how I missed what was right in front of me. I love it when an author can so astutely use misdirection. Very hard to pull off!

Between the chapters I do think about the mystery and the way the story is developing, I then spend time thinking about the next turn the character will make, or perhaps something they should have done by now.
